Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by SellerX Germany GmbH ("SellerX") and its group companies during the financial year ended 31 December 2024 to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

1. Organisational Structure and Supply Chains

SellerX is a leading global aggregator of e-commerce businesses, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, with operations across multiple countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Hong Kong and the Philippines. We acquire, operate, and grow a diverse portfolio of consumer brands, primarily selling through online marketplaces globally.

Our supply chains involve the sourcing, manufacture, and distribution of a wide range of consumer goods and our extended supply chain includes partners in Asia and other regions.

2. Policies

SellerX maintains the following policies relevant to modern slavery:

  • Code of Conduct for employees, requiring ethical behaviour, respect for human rights, and compliance with law;
  • Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits forced labour, child labour, human trafficking, and requires safe working conditions and fair treatment;
  • Diversity and Inclusion, which promotes equal opportunity, fair treatment, and a workplace free from discrimination, ensuring all individuals are valued and respected;
  • Whistleblowing Policy, which allows employees and business partners to raise concerns confidentially and without retaliation.

These policies align with international standards including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and ILO Conventions.

3. Due Diligence

SellerX's due diligence processes include:

  • Contractual requirements for compliance with SellerX's Supplier Code of Conduct;
  • Supplier audits and questionnaires addressing labour rights and ethical sourcing (on selected suppliers);
  • Grievance mechanisms, including our whistleblowing platform, available to employees and business partners.

4. Risk Assessment and Management

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery can vary depending on the geography and nature of the supply chain. To mitigate these risks, SellerX is committed to responsible sourcing and to continuously improving our global supply chain. SellerX is a proud member of amfori, the leading global business association for open and sustainable trade.

Our efforts include:

  • Requiring suppliers to comply with our ethical standards, by sharing our Supplier Code of Conduct and embedding these requirements into contractual terms;
  • Improving social standards through participation in amfori BSCI;
  • Enhancing supply chain transparency, as encouraged by amfori BSCI;
  • Investigating any credible concerns raised and taking corrective action where necessary.

5. Monitoring and Evaluation

SellerX monitors the effectiveness of its actions by:

  • Tracking supplier compliance with our Code of Conduct;
  • Reviewing any whistleblowing or grievance reports;
  • Evaluating supplier audit outcomes.

6. Training and Awareness

We promote awareness of modern slavery risks through internal communication and training for relevant employees. This ensures that those involved in procurement, supply chain management, and brand operations understand the signs of modern slavery and how to escalate concerns.

7. Approval and Publication

This statement has been approved and signed by the Board of Directors of SellerX. It is published on our website in a prominent location and will be updated annually.
